Camera Land started out as a local photo shop in 1957 and has now grown into one of the oldest and most experienced photo specialty and sports optics stores in NYC.  We have someone that specializes in every need our customers may have.

Ed Paymer is the founder of Camera Land. In every employee meeting, Ed reminds his team that “the difference between them and us is us!” We use that as our mantra, to fulfill our customer’s wants and needs by showing them the right product with the right education. Camera Land is one of the largest Sports Optics dealers in the country. We also specialize in digital cameras and accessories and have many employees that can educate you on every product. We offer 15 minute training sessions to all of our customers for free. We know that the best camera for you is the one that suits your needs the best. The Digital Imaging center is constantly expanding the offerings to consumers. Camera Land offers repairs on most photographic equipment as well as binoculars. Camera Land has become a huge supporter of United Cerebral Palsy & Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. We recently had an Olympus/UCP day at the store which raised not only money for UCP but awareness. We work with the community for many other causes as well and see it as our duty to help where we can.
